Title: Network Activity With Ethernet Plugged In
Post by: the soul poet on December 04, 2007, 06:38:00 PM
I am not quite sure, but has any1 been able to analyse network activity on an Xbox 360 if you have a password on your live account so it doesnt auto log you in?

To connect you must go to connect to xbox live and enter a button combination.  I am wondering if the Xbox will still communicate data to Xbox live.  I want to leave my cable plugged in for streaming etc but want to be able to connect to live easily so I dont want to block internet access from my router.

Thanks for any comments.

There is an option in 'profile' to stop auto sign in

He is wondering if just not being signed in is enough... ie if you are not signed in but the Ethernet cable is still plugged in does the Xbox report back to XBLA servers even though you aren't signed in?
