Title: Elite Without 30-day Gold Trial?

I bought an ELITE about 2 months ago and I could not find the Free 30 day trial of Xbox Live gold activation code in the box. I bought a 12+1 month subscription anyway, so it's not a huge deal, but I figure if I get an extra month free, I should activate it. Was it supposed to be a card in the box or is the code in a manual somewhere?   Or is there a process I am supposed to go through?

I thought the same thing too (looked for a card and everything) but you actually have to sign on to live to get it. When you log on for the first time it tells you that you are eligible for a free 1 month gold membership. You'd think M$ would place some info somewhere in the box to let people know.
