Title: With Origonal Game But Old Firmware On Hi 78 Will I Get Banned?

Hey guys
if i'm only playing origonals on live and have hitachi 78 flashed with maxmius toolbox 3.0 will still get banned or in risk?

you won't get banned playing originals, but you WILL get banned playing your backups. being on live doesn't necessarily mean matchmaking. there is no reason for you not to upgrade to ixtreme 1.2 as you don't lose any features on a hitachi drive, and you gain security and peace of mind.

yea but doesnt this mean that all the backups have to be redone, reburned, in order for them to play (not meaning online)

if you're playing bad backups offline, ms could be logging the info on the flash somewhere and report to live when you connect

That is exactly the point.  The backups are bad... so they can obviously be detected..

If they were good backups then you wouldn't have anything to worry about.
