Title: Be Careful With Live, Possible Banning
Post by: Reaper527 on January 16, 2007, 09:53:00 AM
There has been a recent ban hammer by microsoft. at the current time, it is unknown what they are using to determine a ban.

it is possible they are able to detect the firmware itself
it is possible they are only able to detect a backup disc, but not the flashed drive.

apparently the jitter fix firmware is unable to prevent the ban as well, no confirmed reports about what the stealth hacks do as far as prevention, and how the modchips fit into the ban scheme (obviously the detectability is the same as the firmware, the question is if turning it off helps, or if it saves the fact its turned on when you play with it off of live and saves a ban request)

there are many possibilities but no solid answers. just keep an eye on the front page, and this thread. at there current time the only thing not a rumor is that ms is banning systems. be careful with your systems

i'll do my best to keep this thread updated, so check back for info as it becomes available.
