Ahh- another unfolding piece of information- in my ever confusing quest:
When disconnecting my DVD drive i discovered that the HD sounded like it was reading a bit more than when it was connected- but it was still not loading- so i plopped a matrix on there and it loads from the HD fine but if i reconnect the DVD drive it does not read from the HD and will not load the dashboard.. any ideas?
