I hope you are not drawing that conclusion by the pic I posted.
The 2910 is nice but it is 3-4 times more expensive than the XBOX. The XBOX can also play more auidio and video formats and even play them over a wireless network .. oh and did i mention the games
no ...
i drew my conclusions comparing to my denon 2910 ...
i am a bit of a videophile so i prefer the denon ... but the xbox is a remarkable machine ....
does any one know if it is possible to emulate the dvd menu feature ... ie can you set it up to play the vob files one after another so it feels like a more traditional dvd player ...
I understand you used your Denon in the comparison. I just wondered if you were basing the xboxs video quality from my pic.
I am not sure about setting up a vob playlist but it may be possible. Have you checked the XBMC on line manual at their web site?
no i didn't use your picture ... i got xbmc to work in 720p & 1080i ... i compared it using a couple of different dvds ... i am thinking about running video essentials on the xbox to calibrate the picture ...
now all need to do is to figure out how to get the information off my pvr (scientific atlanta 8300hd) and into my xbox ...
cheers
Press ''Y'' to add them to the playlist and press white to display the playlist and start playing the first thing, the others will follow after the first one is completed.
XBMC kick indeed ass although I have nothing but a cheap DVD player to compare it to ;)
I've got a 16x9 set, hooked up via component with my xbox. In my resolution settings, I've only got NTSC 16x9 and NTSC 4:3. How can I get to choose the proper resolution when it seems I don't even have the option???
Try enabling widescreen in msdash first?
Providing you have a HD adapter and the MS dash has the HiDef features turned on, you should have several selections.
Please check your MS dash settings.
Make sure you have all the 480,720,and 1080 settings on.
