I am glad that they chose to allow gamers change their gamertags.

Just to let you know it is possible to change your gamertag with the current xbox live but you have to do it over the phone.

Step 1: In north america call 1-800-4MY-XBOX
Step 2: Threaten to cancel your account if your gamertag isn't changed
Step 3: Log on to Xbox Live dashboard, it will say "your gamertag has been banned for being inappropriate, please enter a new gamertag"

thats retarded. honesly. ive had xbl maybe a year and a half, altho my name is ghetto and i gte made fun of it at times (only on halo2 - kids r dorks) y go thru the trouble. pick a name and keep it, if u dont like the name u pick, dont get xbl. MS isnt aining anyones interest on this....not mine anyway.

i can just see everyone changing there name EVERY damn week.

ok wait, now that i think about it..people who r in clans then yesi can see why..to put up gamer tag or clan tag. BUT still..its dumb...just my 1....2 cents

i think its a good idea but it will be hard to keep track of friends if everyone keeps changing their names.

Does anyone know how many times you will be-able to change your gamertag?

This should be set to once a 6 months/every year

yea i think if its kinda like diablo it would be good. only if each others name is on the list they would be able to see where and who you are playing with. in diablo you dont have to ask to know there account name.

even if someone changes names there account will still prolly be your friend, cuz theve said that ur reputation also stays with you

they think Im spanish too, and anyone in my clan for that matter.

we all have LOS infront of our names, and thanks to Live not alllowing us to use symbols and shit, people think we are something like Los Lobos, lol

Thats how we had it with pc games for years.

I was pissed on the launch day of live and found out we couldnt use symbols.  

You can change your tag I believe 5 times, but it all still sticks to your original from what I gather.

I don't mind moronic people not knowing my name... I get called "Chef" alot... guess the little kiddies should finish their hooked on phonics before play on their xbox.... that or they take the special k reference as it being ketamine... and thinking i'm a druggie... oh well... to each is own... I don't plan on changing mine for a while... i mean 800 points just to do it... screw that
