it is a gip, but not what u make it out to be, since its a 2.5" hdd. yes u could get a 250gb 3.5" drive, but 2.5" drives are much much more expensive., u may be able to get a 80g 2.5 for 100 tho, but i think that 2.5" drives only go up to 120, with new ones on the way at 180gb.

If you think about it the $400 dollar pack is alot better.

The $300 dollar pack doesn't come with a HDD, and if u wanted 1 it would add up to 400, and that doesnt include: wireless controller, headset, upgraded cable, and a media remote.

400 DOLLAR PACK ALL THE WAY. IM IN LOVE WITH THE $400 DOLLAR PACK.

Ouch. That is expensive as hell. But, what do I expect...it's M$.

$50 for a wireless controller. Oh, man.

As excited as I am, I almost wish it wasn't coming out for another year or so. Just cause I know that rushed launches are the first way to kill a system.

DO NOT BUY THE XBOX360 AND COME ON THESE FORUMS IN THE FUTURE IF WE WILL CONTINUALLY HEAR YOUR WHINING OVER THE 5$ PRICE INCREASES. This is really pissing me off, have you no self control? Current controllers cost 40$. If you can't afford that once in a console generation purchase for a requiredperiphal, then don't buy one. Then we'll see how much fun you have with your Xbox360. If you honestly need to get an Xbox360, yet are skeptical about the prices, don't buy one. Then after a while of not having it, you will see how much you want it.

This is incorrect, it does NOT include the gold service, only the silver service. Gold will cost the same as the current XBL service does. Read around a bit more next time.

Carlo I think you miss the point! I think you need to revaluate your idea. What I see is big busineess making an artificial supply and demand curve and exposing it. From my experience and I'm work in the chip/software making industry it is very common practise to charge you dollars to our pennies! Hence the fact this is why the last console I owned not moded was SNES, and then after that I had a chipped PS1, and now I have a moded XB. I'm not a fan of any one cooperation specially M$ or the jap mono Sony! However, when I look to a system I look at its functionality. What can it do for, or what can I do to get it to do more for me. Flooding the market place with a artificial supple and demand curve I think is rather cheap! That is why I use open source. that is one of the biggest reasons people come to this forum. Although it is implied rather then explixit you have to dig deep to get it. With todays technology you think people would get it that it is faster easier better ways to develop silicin, and manufactor top notch games/software it would be affordable for anyone but if here is the catch if they did that they couldn't charge you an arm or a leg for it. Same idea as some of the Eletrical Engineer peers I used to have that used to develop the traffic devices that allowed you to turn red lights to green. He used to make them for $20 bucks and charge $500 for them on net back in 01-03 he paid for 3 terms of his college that way not to mention other toys he had.

Though I still think $50 for a wireless controller is pricy, when I could get a wave bird for $40, a few years ago...

Oh well, it should have ok games, and even if those suck, once its modded I shall have one bitchen computer!

I''ve already purchased the paly and charge kit. As I think more about it, it seems that the controller may be plugged in more often than not. If you haven't bought it yet, forget the play and charge kit and opt for lithium AA batteries.

This can't be right?

To use optical sound, you will need the hi-def A/V cable. The standard RCA type cable in the core system does not have optical output.
