Title: Hitachi Firmware Mod Reverted By Harry Potter Game Update
Post by: m1nd on December 30, 2007, 01:41:00 AM
Hey folks,

Alright so my little brother got a hold of the harry potter game that came out, put it in my 360 and updated my system. As a result my 360 can no longer play any of my backed up games.

Can the firmware be flashed back again? Or is it not flashable anymore?

thnx,
m1nd

No way the game flashed you firmware back. Not one chance.
Something else has happened. maybe your laser is on the way out.
This is not technical hacking either so moving to newbie chat

Well, put it this way; the console was fine and playing backups. my brother puts this game in - updates the system and next time i put in a back up game it doesn't work - i try all my other games - still no dice.

I put an original game in and it works just fine.

How can I test to see if the firmware is still modded?

You don't need to do that. It is still modded. Microsoft cant flash the drive from the console. Cant happen that way. Unless they took your 360 apart and re flashed your drive without you looking.
