Title: Burning Iso On Dl
Post by: 1hotjob on December 10, 2007, 02:54:00 PM
Moving to the 360 newbie forum.

There are tutorials there that will tell you how to burn a DL disk. You have to change the settings manually for it to work. Do a little reading and you will find it. I did, but can't remember what to change.

you could also try Xbox Backup Creator. that will shell off the burning job to imgburn with everything preconfigured and ready to go. (or XBC can also burn iso's itself, which ever you'd prefer)

First of all, only DVD+R-DL work, minus ones won't. Second thing, you must set the booktype in your burning tool to DVD-ROM.

I don't think this is the case any more - another forum member had a thread which stated he had DVD-R DL working fine. You're spot on about the bitsetting tho - this is extremely important.

Most backup tools create a .dvd file. The new(er) version of IMGBurn knows how to handle these files and if you select it instead of the .iso, it will set the layerbreak for you.

A good tool to download is DVDInfoPro - it will tell you what booktype your drive is currently set to and it may even be able to change it for you.

How are you creating your backups.   IE what software are you using to dump your originals to your computer with?
