Title: Live Stream From Aiw Capture Card
Post by: Pzen on September 24, 2004, 02:57:00 PM
I was wondering if it is possible to stream live video from my PC to XBMC? I want to use my AIW TV tuner card as a PVR but on my TV not monitor? I know that you can view streams from off the net. Is it possible to set up my PC as a streaming server and get through XBMC?

Thanks

Just put the files you record into a shared folder.  XBMC can open up shared folders through SMB.  <

Yeah with recorded programs sure. I am talking about pausing live television and resuming on my TV.   <

you probably can. first create a local mms server ( MS windows media server) that streams the stream coming from you caputer card. then just create a .strm file containing the address. this can be like this mms://192.168.2.3:80.

this brings up something.. if we can stream media into xbmc then we can eventually record them in xbox hd just liek xbmc can record audio streams!!!! unsure.gif   <
