Post by: vb_encryption_vb on February 04, 2020, 04:38:00 AM
ok i just purchased a 360 yesterday and i believe i got the benq drive, so am i screwed to hacking it, or is there a chip i can get. i seen some garbage about having to cut some shit on the MB or something along them lines and im not going that route. i prefer a modchip if anyone can recommend one thats worth the time and money.

There is no chip. As of now the only thing you can do with a benq is to cute traces and solder a switch to extract the firmware from the drive. Then you need to extract the drive key from the firmware. Then you need to get a new DVD drive like a Samung or Hitachi and spoof it as the benq before replacing the benq.

Eventually there is supposed to be a hacked firmware coming out for the benq but then again you will probably still need to cute traces and solder to do it.
