They are the new heatsinks that come on the new 360's, and by the looks of it, n the refurbished/repaired ones to!
Hmm... thats good news I guess, wonder if they changed anything else other than adding that new heatsink.
Here are some further questions:
1) If they changed the processor to the new 65nm ones (or w/e the new ones are), then the xbox would require a different power brick right? and so since the old one works fine that would be a pretty much 100% guarantee that they didnt swap the CPU right?
2)Imm not sure whats new and whats old. I know for a fact that the searial number (on the back) and the DVD drive are same ones that i sent in for repair. Dunno about the motherboard though. Would they be able to change the motherboard without changing the DVDrom drive? because arent those paired via a serial similar to a mac address so that they and only they can talk to each other? Meaning if its the same DVD-rom as i had before its pretty much 100% guarantee they didnt change the mobo? Cuz if they had they would have to change the drive too? right?
3) From what I understand this new heatsink goes to the GPU... is that right?

not trying to be rude or anything, but how exactly would you know the serial number on the dvd drive?
--just curious...
I dont know the serial number on the DVD drive, when i mentioned the serial being the same i was talking about the searial on the back of the actual console. And the reason i know the DVD rom is the same is because i put a little dot on it with a sharpie before sending it off to see if id get the same console back or not. and its still there.
