I was doing lawdog's x clamp replacement method, and have the mother board completely out of all the casings and everything. I am to the point on which I need to reassemble the motherboard back into the casings.
If I completely reassembled all of the chips, and everything back to working order on the motherboard, I was thinking about just putting the motherboard into the metal casing, throw a few bolts down and leave the mother bord JUST in the metal casing, without adding any of the plastic ones.
I really dont care about looks, just the proficiency of the xbox. I have my xbox sitting in a clean and safe area, and the only thing I think I would get out of this would be the much needed cooling down of the motherboard. Would there be any disadvanteges or suggestions upon doing this?
