Hey guys ironik thing happened to me. bought a RROD 360 off ebay tried to fix it but then my actual 360 that i normaly play got the RROD.
I got my first 360 on Black Friday so about 4 months now, so it still fairly new. Warranty seal has been broken. Modified my DVD Drive so i now what im doing but havent experienced RROD.
I've been kinda following RBJtech's MKIII method of fixing it, but i have made 2 trips to the hardware store, and bought 2 Artic Silver 5, on seperate ocasions, so money is getting very low, and im trying to fix it with the parts i have.
Parts i have.
5mm hex screws
5mm pan Philips screws
5mm flat stainless steel washers
5mm nylon washers
5mm Steel/Zinc coated washers.
This is the way i have my board.

I powered on the 360 and RBJtech tutorial said that the 360 should be getting hot within a minuet but it didnt. I have followed Lawdawgs method and the box still didnt heat up.
So what causes the 360 to heat up?
is the way i did it a wrong method? Should i go buy the proper parts listed in RBJtech's MKIII method and try it out? should i try RBJtech's MKI method?
I havent tried adding a "shim" on top of the GPU yet cuz i havent found any aluminum or copper but i think i can get some from my uncle and plan to try it tonight.
the MKI method would be a last resort for me because you have to cut and drill into the heatsinks, and there is a possibility of messing up so that is a last resorst for me.
thanks guys hope you can help
