The card is Sata Via 6421L (from Newegg)
www.newegg.com/Product...815124022)
I bought this card following advice from members of this and other boards and I've run into this problem. I can install it but after placing it on the motherboard when I start my computer (I have an older dell Optiplex 270 that I plan on using for flashin the XBOX) the computer starts and gives me a message Plug and Play Configuration Error and below Press F1 to continue and F2 to enter setup. After I press F1 it just contiunues to windows and everything loads fine. When I press F2 there is nothing I see that I could change in BIOS to eliminate this message. In Windows all the drivers are loaded correctly. No yellow exclamation marks in Device manager. So all looks OK. Just this initial message and hitting F1 to continue.
Will it work for flashing the way it is? I think it does it, because it doesn't have a bootable bios or something. Could someone confirm this. Everyone on the newegg site said they used it successfully to flash ms28 drive and I think that as long as I can hit F1 and continue to boot, or bettter still if I disconnect the HD and CD on my windows machine for flashing it may boot better then. I don't know.
Any thoughts, please
Thanks
T.
