Title: Weirdest Errors Ever
Post by: bladerunnin on October 23, 2007, 11:49:00 PM
ok.....so, here's the deal....i am getting "the disk is unreadable" ALL THE TIME!! in other words, i get a disk unreadable error EVEN WHEN I AM PLAYING A DEMO OFF OF MY HARD DRIVE!@#$% WTF?!?!?
i just got finished replacing my Toshiba-Samsung drive with a "brand new" (perhaps refurbished) TS drive that i bought on ebay. flashed the drive and I am getting precisely the same problems that i was getting before the replacement.
please....someone out there must have some advice for me!!
how is it possible that I am getting disk unreadable errors when running a demo that is stored on the hard drive??!?!
to take it a step further, since that indicates a problem with the hard drive, i removed the hard drive altogether and tried playing some of the games that were giving me problems (both originals and backups) and the problems occur at the same exact point!!!@#!$%!
for the love of all that is sacred, someone please tell me what to do before i run out and spend another $300 just so i can finally get past the opening cinematic in Halo 3!!!!!
thank you in advance. my sanity is hanging on by the thinnest of threads.

check your cables BR, I noticed that I'd caught them under the legs of the DVD and maybe one of the (prob power) is kinked or broken - and you're getting no power to it.
Easy inspection (and not too hard a fix!)
Good luck!
