Tried searching but it doesn't seem to be working.
I was in the middle of playing PGR4 when the screen froze. I restarted and the screen froze at the X360 logo. Then I restarted again and it said I had the E79 error. I restarted again and the same screen came up. I powered off my 360, removed the hard drive and powered it back on. Now my TV isn't getting any signal from my 360 and the 360 isn't recognizing the controller (used controller to turn 360 on but it doesn't detect thats its the 1st player). Replaced the hard drive and still the same problem.
Any ideas?

Hello
Same problem for me... Overheating, problems with xclamp, bad connection for the GPU...
Had to do the xclamp replacement to make it work, but it has only worked for 2-3 months and then it came back.
A reballing would certainly have corrected the problem. I have bought a new one and added 3 fans (on the top and under) to let the heat go out.
Temperature for the GPU before modification : 150F...

My GPU has been reballed and my X clamps have been replaced. RAM heat sinks have been added too.
Any other suggestions as to why its not working?
Thanks

If you've done all that already then it's bye bye box.
