OK, so, I've removed the x-clamps and replaced them through lawdawg's tutorial, and it has worked somewhat fine. however, when I play halo 3, it shuts off automatically and says it's overheating. I'm wondering...what could be so faulty right now? What do I need to check to ensure that it doesn't overheat so much? I'm trying to find heatsinks for every RAM and Southbridge/Passive chip inside so the heat would dissipate even more, but would that ultimately remove the overheating issue?
i've been thinking about sending it in to reflow/diagnose my box...

I don't know if I should though.
It beats a warranty-voided $140...

$100 isn't worth it if you ask me. I think it's hilarious that a modchip website tells you not to send in your 3 red light system if it has a modchip.

mine did this when i tried to do the x-clamp fix
the problem i had was that i didnt put enough thermal paste down
so try more thermal paste
are you using arctic silver?

see that's the thing, i couldn't find any arctic silver...and i feel like that could've been a major problem...i used another brand, forgot what it was called. i need to find some arctic silver though, i was highly considering re-applying the paste.
