Title: Internalised Hard Drive Issues
Post by: Adam_Smith on February 04, 2020, 01:16:00 AM
Hi all,

Apologies if I've placed this in the wrong thread - I've just searched for an answer for about an hour... anyhoo...

I've Internalised my hard drive (which in the true Aussie fashion is a 120gig WD I've bought from the local PC shop and modified - thanks HDDHACKR!!!) and after soldering it all in (following the information here and here) and now when it starts - it goes through the usual ring around - however it then goes to a black screen, then restarts five seconds later.

It sounds like classic electrical overload (and yes, on first try I might have put the wires on the wrong pins) but now it is all connected ok (another hour with the multimeter) but I'm completely at a loss.

Has anyone seen this and have a solution or suggestions?

Thanks for reading!
