My DVD drive has started buzzing rather loudly on my 360. i haven't done any modding and it's still under warranty, so i really don't want to open it up. it's a refurbished unit i got from MS to replace my original which died of DVD failure too. it's one year birthday is on the 24th, so i'm debating if i should try to send it back. will MS take the 360 back for buzzing? is there a way to fix it without opening the case? any help would be appreciated.
unmodded 360 premium (refurb from MS)
hitachi dvd drive
no visible game disc damage
no gameplay problems
intermittent buzzing noise
when 360 is shut down dvd spins down and vibrates my whole entertainment center

I have the same situation. I have a 360 that was refurbed, and is just starting to do the buzzing. I actually have seen quite a few other posts just like this on other sites, I don't think it is very good.

360 seems to spin discs even when just on dashboard not playing the game
