Recently well today my xbox 360 gave the 3 lights of death. That was 7 hours ago, now it is slightly lagging on saints row but otherwise fine. I read that sometimes the rrod occurs when there is a problem with the electricity input(xbox not liking power from mains so shutting down) or is this something worse.

It's possible that it wasn't an internal hardware problem, since you didn't check for an error code. If you mean lagging as in online lag, then that's fine, but if you mean stuttering or having a choppy framerate for no reason, where it hasn't happened before, then you'll probably get the 3 red lights again soon. Both times my system got the 3 red lights, it was after playing Guitar Hero 2, and it was having some major framerate issues right before it happened.

it had a bit of choppy sound for the first few minutes but it is ok now. I looked at the secondary error codes sticky and will post them if it happens again. The clean power thing seems very likely as the electrics here are extremely dodgy.
