Title: Play And Charge Kit Problem

I recently brought a Play and charge kit off ebay. When I try to charge the battery (or another battery I had from before), the charge light turns green after only 10 seconds of charging. Of course, the battery dies within a minute of charging...

Is there reason why it's acting like this that can be fixed is it permanently messed?
