Title: Error Code 64 / 1000 (2nd Code)
Post by: CsL on February 14, 2007, 09:35:00 AM
Hi

I have a Samsung MS25 with Xtrm v4.2B (MS28) Firmware. Everything worked fine :)

But now this Error 64 occurs. I don't know why.. It happened without updating Dash/Kernel.
(Some Days ago I've got the latest Dash/Kernel (v2.0.4552.0), after Updating there is no E66 (X360 built Feb/2k6), but still E64 sometimes!)

I have read at other Threads, that this could be a HDD-, or DVD-Drive-Problem. But those People said, that theire Drives don't spin, and don't open the Tray. But my Drive spins and opens the Tray. So I thought it could be the HDD. I took it off, switched on my X360 and it booted to Dash :) I tried it once more, but it didn't work again, this E64 occurs with and without HDD.

The only Way to boot to Dash after E64 occurs, is to remove the X360 completly from power supply system, and wait 30-60mins - then it mostly boots fine again.

I found out the secondary Error-Code, it's "1-0-0-0".
Could this be a Hardware- (e.g. Drives, or (Parts of) Mainboard, ...), or a Software-Failure (e.g. Firmware, or Signatures, ...)?

K, after reading several hours, I've managed to flash my Samsung Drive :D

I've used v5.2B and both, Original and Xtrm, contain the "TSSTcorpDVD-ROM TS-H943Ams25"-String.

BUT .. same Error as before .. E64/1000. X360 booted with the second Try, I've inserted a Backup and it started, too. But it froze after the "Press Start Screen", the Blade where I can return to the Dash by hitting Y appears, but the Dash doesn't load. So I switched off .. switched back on .. E64. Short: Same S**t as before with v4.2B/MS28@MS25-Drive.

I'm clueless.. :'(

Do you have any Ideas?

Thanks!

I would try flasing to 5.2 and make sure your connections are good and secure.  make sure you use the proper bin file for your MS25.  I recommend using 5.2a
