Title: General Hardware Failure

on the rings on the xbox shud flash green but everytime i turn mi xbox 360 on the 1st 3rd and 4th light flash red and ive read the guide on here and it says general hardware failure . do you think i shud take my xbox back to the store and get a new one ?

If your 360 is still under warranty yes take it back and have it replaced, that one should pretty much go without saying.

If it's not still under warranty, or you have voided the warranty, there are several fixes you can try to get it going again, Squeeze trick, Towel trick, Toothpick trick and finally the Heat gun fix. You could also just part the whole thing out and get almost the cost of a new Core system from the parts (PSU, Cables, DVD drive and even the broken mobo) so ya have plenty of options, just depends on how much time/skill you can and want to invest into possibly fixing it.
