Title: 360's Gone Bust-need Help Finding Out What The Problem Is
Post by: Bananas on January 12, 2007, 10:25:00 AM
Hi, my 360 (which is flashed and the warranty's ran out) was fine until a couple of days ago, but messed up after the Gears of War update, came up with those pink/green lines in as soon as i joined a multiplayer session.

It comes up with a red light on the bottom right corner and i get an E74 error on-screen, which from what i understand is an AV problem but since i tried my mates one which works on his but not on mine that dosn't seem to be the problem, so i phoned up GTElectronics (Repair shop in the UK) and asked them if they bothered doing 360's that were opened while explaining the red light situation, they asked what i did and i told them i flashed it a while ago, they told me straightaway that it was a dvd drive problem and they could fix it, i told them about what i had read up on the error i was getting and that the dvd drive had it's own error code but they insisted it was the dvd drive and that they had similar situations before where they had to fix the dvd drive's of 360's which had the bottom right corner flash red.

If that's the case then i could try and flash back to original to see if it to see if it makes any difference but i'm not too sure since i got the whole green lines thing but they seemed to know what they were talking about, just wanted to know what you guy's thought, thanks.
