Title: Xbox360 Modding Info
Post by: Berzy on January 01, 2007, 10:20:00 PM
i'm an xbox modder and i'm eventually going to get a xbox360 but not until it's fully hack-able. meaning i would like it to function much like my xbox does now. so i've done some research into the different methods out there now and i'm not quite crystal on the complete functions of each one. basically i want to be able to replace the HDD with a large one and use the 360 as a media center that of course can play backed-up games from the hdd. from what i can tell/find we are not quite there when it comes to replacing the HDD or even playing games off the included 20GB one.

can anyone clarify this for me and possible tell me what is coming out in the future with those abilities.

thanks in advance
B

Yes, you're right. It's currently not possible to upgrade the Xbox 360's hard drive or play games from the hard drive.

We cannot know when these functions will/can be possible in the future. Earlier today, someone supposedly was able to run unsigned code on his Xbox 360, but at point, no one is has been able to confirm this as hoax or not. It's all a matter of waiting, and maybe even luck.

But, to answer your original question again, no, the Xbox 360 has not been 'fully hacked'. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

thanks, i know that question may have been asked, but i couldn't find it.

so it's probably a safer bet that there will be a software option for testing before there will be a fully hacked hardware version.
