Ok so I have a launch system that currently has a Hitachi drive in it, and personally I think it's a little loud. What I am wondering is are there new Hitachi's or are they all the same? Further are some Hitachi's quiter than the launch systems?
I noticed at Llamma.com they say that the Samsung is noticeably quiter, I've never heard the Samsung drive, is there anyone here that has heard both and can verify?
And again re-worded over If I bought a system that was built in Aug 2006 and it had the Hitachi drive in it, is that drive any better than the Launch Hitachi's or will they both be the same volume loudnesswise?
I tried searching all over the forums but no-one seems to care how loud the system is they just want to mod the drives. Personally I don't really care about moding the drive I just want it nice and quiet.
