Title: 4 Day Old Xbox360 Artifacts While Playing Gears Of War

Should I keep it, exchange it, cool it, or what? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Does this after playing about 30 to an hour.

These are GPU artifacts due to heat, as it only does it in GOW.  Wasn't sure if perhaps letting the thermal paste that came on it work a few weeks would help, as it helps when applying some aftermarket thermal pastes.  After running for a few days, the temps usually drop.

Well out of the box I wouldn't expect this. Take it back!  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I haven't had any problems with gow out of the box.  Works great.  I would exchange it.

These guys are absolutely correct. Even if the thermal paste settled and you didn't experience the artifacts anymore, how close to tolerance would you be running? You'd be teetering on the edge and your console would surely fail down the road.
