Hi Mate,

I`m no expert but i had to do the rubber band trick on my samsung,

I was`nt gettin dirty disc errors though only not recognising the disc and gettin the open tray error,

It`s definatley worth a try what harm could it do.

On mine i used a rubber band around 5mm in width BUT this stopped original xbox1 games runnin i could probably trim it to 4mm to try and get xbox1 games runnin but i cant be arsed

Hope this helps............Come on all you Hitachi owners help a fellow owner out.

P.
