Ok, I called MS and they said that the $130 repair fee covers all parts and shipping back to me. But shipping to them is going to be around $40.
I do not have a usb controller to test it with, so I plugged in a flash drive w/ some songs on it, and plugged it into the front usb ports and all was fine.
I still am pretty sure it's the ROL/RF PCB that is my problem...however, since the RF function still works (I was able to test out the media remote) that should mean that the connection to the motherboard is fine, correct? So, thus, the motherboard should be fine.... or, is the connection from the PCB to the mobo wired to where a few wires control the RF and a few control the ROL? (to where it's possible that part of the connector on the mobo broke? (I've had this happen on a laptop of mine where only really, really basic pc cards will even recieve power from the pc card slot)
dude, the media remote is I/R, not R/F.
