Title: Newbei, Which Drive?

just got the 360 yesterday, the MFD on it is 05-18-2k6....looks like the drive in the picture farthest to the right in the one with the three drives? can anyone help me determin which one it may be? and what is my next step? I have most of the software needed, just need to know about the hardware reqired and steps after...thanks for the help

dude, i dont mean to (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flamethrower.gif) but this is the eaisest question.  If you are unsure as to what type of drive you have, you should not even consider doing the hack...if it looks like the rightmost drive in the picture, it is the samsung....

yeah, there are distinct differences...  

be careful of hacking the firmware, or even better, dont attempt it unless you know exactly what you are doing.

guides in sig, check them out, especially geebees.

Thanks, I am new to the 360... but I put the x3 chip in myself in my old Xbox, flashed it, with no problem, I have a little clue, just looking for some pointers because I have not done any research on the 360 hacks or mods...my wife just picked one up for me to surprise me...so now I’m interested what options I have??
