Post by: cartman on August 06, 2006, 06:31:00 AM
Hi Guys , i have a faulty X360 it keeps coming up with the 3 red lights of death!! , i am going to try  the hot air gun fix , i have removed the X clamp on the rear of the motherboard holdeing the GPU heatsink , i was just wondering if when re assembling the 360 the X clamp has to be put back on.

thanks for any help  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

it isn't absolutly required, as the clamps dont even hold the heatsinks tight to the dies, once you screw in the 8 black T8 screws after putting the mobo in, the heatsinks wont budge.

But still, put the x clamp on.
