Title: 360 With Parkinson’s?
Post by: Jerek on July 09, 2006, 09:37:00 PM
Well like this crippling disease my 360 can’t sit still it has sporadic blinks on the display every 3 seconds or so, its not really crippling as much as its an annoyance. I have been getting the 0102 error with the typical three lights but it started starting up with the lights still red but it worked for a while than it’d just shut off…is this the power supply or what? Any suggestions I’ll offer any and all information I can.

Oh btw, as much as I know about this 300 dollar paper weight I’m uncomfortable with messing around with it, is there any place other than MS offering repairs?

Why are you looking for somewhere other than MS.  They're the most qualified to repair your xbox.  And they do it free of charge if you're still inside the warranty period.

Well I got mine at launch, no extended warranty. And mine ran out in May so yeah MS is kinda out of the picture if anyone will do it cheaper than what they're asking for it...and most qualified, I keep hearing reports about people having to return theirs two-three times.

I've heard that they extended the warranty period for boxes with error code 0102 for some reason, from what I've gathered it's because it's a common problem, but supposedly an easy fix.

Usually 0102 is caused by a cold solder joint on one of the ram chips, reflowing them with a heat gun or SMT rework station seems to fix it most of the time
