Title: Adding Heatsinks.
Post by: Jakal91 on March 25, 2006, 05:27:00 PM
Ok, im not sure if this is the right forum but here goes...
I am modding my 360 and to try and stop it overheating (seeing as that is obviously not good as i will have no guarentee) im thinking about putting heatsinks on the chips etc that conduct alot of heat but dont allready have them. Can someone please tell me how i apply the heatsinks, and what are the best things to put them on?
Also, say if i had a modded 360 and i needed to get it repaired. Would i still be able to get it repaired by MS, but at a cost. If not is there any way of getting it fixed if it does break. Im in the uk by the way if the terms are different.
    Thanks.

The heatsinks might be a bit too big for the parts inside. I suggest that you use fans instead. I don't think you can get a modded 360 repaired (and if you could it would cost quite a lot). I just shipped my 360 to the UK last week for repair or (hopefully) a brand new replacement. Can't wait to get it back. I'm gonna try mod it (I'm gonna "try" cuz my mam won't let me (thinks I'll break it)).

The heatsinks arent to big to put in there, i have 2 heatsinks besides the 2 already in there. You can get them at llammma.com on the xbox page.
