Hey
I have looked around the Xbox support page, and found nothing covering the console just freezing without any red lights being displayed.
Basically, I've found a couple of games have caused my 360 to crash, by crash I mean the system just locks up, no buttons work, no new wireless controllers can connect to the console. Eject works but nothing happens on the screen but the disc ejects, only way to bring the console back to life is to turn it off and on.
This has happened to me in the following games:
Super Monkey Ball DX (Xbox Game) - While playing Party Games its crashed once or twice.
Full Auto OXM Demo - Just crashed once while playing. Was out 2 months ago so was most likely because it was based on a unfinished game
MCE Extender - Crashed for the first time ever after owning the console for so long, while watching a recorded tv program
Ridge Racer 6 - While playing online, about 5 games in. I posted this on the xbox.com forums and apprantly its a known bug.
I'm guessing, and also hoping its soley down to software bugs. For example the Full Auto demo was of a unfinished game, and Super Monkey ball was a game under emulation which may need some fine tuning. The face that theres a known bug with Ridge Racer 6 also helps make me feel better thinking its just a software error and not a hardware error.
The MCE Extender crashing though is weird, which led me to post here. Never heard of it crashing, nor can really see why. I use the Extender feature all the time, 4+ hours a day or so, (allows me to get Digital TV in my room), I use it more than i play games. Its never once crashed for me before.
I havent had any lock ups with PDZ, or any Live Arcade games though. Nor Dead or Alive 4 but I've only played it for a few hours tops so far, just got it.
I was wondering if anyone else had any lock ups with there 360's? Which don't show any red lights. and if anyone knew the cause etc.
Thanks all.
