Title: How Does The 360 Know If It Is Horizontal Or Vertical?
Post by: AGreen BHM on January 15, 2006, 09:35:00 AM
I noticed that the upper left led on the 360 is lit up when my 360 is on, horizontal, and connected to my wireless controller.  That is the "controller 1" light, on the controller.  When the 360 is vertical, it is still the upper left led on the console, but just a different one (because the light that was on while the 360 was horizontal, would now be the upper RIGHT.

My question is:  how does the 360 know to change which LED is lit up?  What kind of sensor does it have that would tell it this?

Yes there is a simple ball sensor inside the unit.
