So i got the bonus remote with my 360, and I went out and bought the universal (not logitech) and it seems that when i am laying in bed, about maybe 8-9 feet fro mthe 360, and off to the right a little bit, not majorly, but slightly, i cannot use the remote to move around on the console. The controller works fine but just the remote is what I am having problems with. Anyone else having problems with this?

I have similar issues with the free bonus remote. Like when the DVD drive is open, I have to stick my arm way out and point it at the IR port.
You aren't alone.

yeah, but I just sold the bonus remote and bought the Universal remote, for 30 bucks. And it has the same range on it as well, the only plus is i can use it for my tv to change the inputs and volume. I thought about returning it and getting the logitech one, but i would have to smack my self for spening 130 bucks on a stupid remote.

I think the problem is that the IR led is very deep inside the console.
