An HDTV tuner is only needed for HD TV programming. Any TV that says HD ready can accept HD signals, just use the component cables included in the Xbox premium package.

Also, that Insignia monitor looks like shit. Stay away from that brand, very poor quality. Go with the Toshiba.

very true. I don't have my component video yet but I did 16:9 over 4:3 and even with 480i the picture on my screen was very nice.

That review lost me right about here.....
3. Because we watch lots of TV that is not in HD format, those rectangle shaped TVs tend to distort the picture. Our final requirement was a square shaped TV display.  LOL (You can always set ur cable box to display 4x3 with black boxes on the side

Anyways, I got a 30 inch widescreen Phillips HDTV for about the same price. Its no plasma, but atleast its 16x9

here

Works great for me. It also will work on almost all HDTV formats(480i,480p,1080i). It also accepts 720p, but it upconverts it to 1080i. Only thing that kind of suck, it has only one HDMI input and one set of component inputs for HDTV(and a bunch of s-video and the usual crap). Works fine for me since my cable box has HDMI.

EDIT: had to fix link
