Title: Xbox 360 Scratching Discs?

Has anyone had this problem? First I was thinking it was my 2 year old nephew that was scratching my games but upon futher inspection the scratch is a even circle that covers the entire disc. It's like it's hitting something inside therefore scratching the disc all even. First my nba 2k6 and now madden. Has anyone heard anything about this? My madden disc didn't have a scratch and now it won't work. 120 bucks wasted in a matter of days.

What should I do?

Call 1-800-4MY-Xbox   Tell them you want it fixed and your games replaced.

Are you using the console vertical or horizontal? My Theory is that the disc "wobbles" if you by accident hit or shake the xbox a little when the disk spins when the console is verticaly placed.

Call MS and tell them what happened.  Next time you buy a game, go to EB and get the $3 warranty.  When I got Perfect Dark Zero I bought the warranty.  I don't know why, cause I never have before, but I am so glad I did.  I went home and had the 360 standing vertically and my brothers dumbass friend knocked the 360 over and the whole outside edge of the 360 disc was trashed.  It refused to read after that.  What was weird though was when you put the disc in it said you needed to put the disc in an Xbox 360 to play.  It was in a 360 so I dont know why it said that.  But I took the disc back to EB with my receipt, showed them the huge scratches and they gave me a new one no questions asked.

My lesson learned:  Never, ever, ever let the Xbox 360 fall from vertical to horizontal or you have a broken disk.

a friend of mine wasnt thinking and turned my 360 when kameo was in it. i took kameo to walmart and got it replaced, funny thing is, i didnt buy it from thurr. owell.
