I bought the original xbox wireless adapter like 6 months ago. It cost A LOT of money.
I know the old one won't connect to Windows and I don't really care. All I need is an internet connection to play on Xbox live. Will it work for this? It's already configured and is working currently. If no settings are changed, will I be good?

That's cool. Let's take it one step further.
What else willl it do on the 360 for me? It can connect to Live, what about stream movies, ftp to windows...?
Also, if I had the 360 wireless adapter, could it wirelessly connect 2 boxes for a LAN party type thing? Or would I still need a cord?

In terms of what you can do there is no difference between a wired connection and a wireless connection... your Xbox doesn't know the difference.
