Does anyone know if the Xbox 360 can be directly connected to the computer with say a usb cable, to upload pictures, movies, music, ect. on it

Not with USB, both devices are Host and are looking for devices not other host... there are ways to use a USB bridge to connect two computers via USB but that is basically just USB network adapters and there will not be driver support in the 360 for that and the network is there for that anyway.

and I think usb sticks or something like that maybe.
