Title: Assassins Creed Brotherhood Problem After Patching
Post by: Paler on November 27, 2010, 03:14:00 AM
So I flashed my BenQ from LT 1.1 to LT+ today. I've burned through three dl's already. The first time I didn't know that it needed to be patched so I ran it through abgx like normal then I patched it and did abgx360 level 3 with video padding. The third time, I did abgx l3 and unchecked video padding. All three times the 360 can read it and show what game it is,  but when I go to play it, I get unable to read disc.

I'm using Sony DVD DL's. I haven't had any problems with them at all until this game so I'm pretty sure its not the media.

I think that the console is flagged and you have to create a new nand file from the file that was not flagged (best from the original nand) and flash console again. Form me this works, and NFS: HP works perfectly

ps. sorry for my english, i'm from Poland (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I flashed my console twice because the first time I didn't get all of the right responses but LT+ was displayed as the fw on the drive. I overwrote it with LT+ again. One of my friends burned Assassins creed and played it without upgrading his 360 to lt+. He is rocking regular LT but I'm not sure of the drive.

what's up edlimym? I have a Xenon board with the series 2 heatsinks on them. You know the oens msft started installing on all the consoles due to the RROD. My Benq is an Original drive. what do you mean by key? Are you talking about the original dump key from the Benq? That I don't have. Would I have to spoof the drive?

what Paler meant, is that you should put back = reflash a clean and non-flagged NAND backup. if you think your console is flagged, you will get banned in the (near) future if you connect online. if you are already banned; no biggy. if you don't mind getting banned; no biggy. if you do mind getting banned, flash back an unflagged NAND backup. if you don't have one (which most if not all people won't have), be prepared to get banned if your flagged.

if your drive is flashed with the correct dvd key; you are done. when lt+ is on it, it is on it. reflasing the dvd fw is thus something different than Paler is suggesting you to do!!

a xenon with an original  benq drive in it.... you don't see that much, thus a repair(ed) unit i guess. but; just try another mediatype. since you upgraded/flashed new fw on the benq drive (lt 1.1+) you might have media issue (check the firmware log, some media updates where applied). so it  might be that due to the new fw the old games (sony discs) might give you issues. do old burned (on sony discs) games play just fine with the new lt+ fw with the new kinect dasboard?

(BTW. i assume that you need the new kinect dashboard to play ACB and that you have the newest kinect dashboard)

I should be fine and not flagged for banning right? Yep all of my games play fine except for Assassins Creed. Assaissins creed is the first game I've burned that has AP 2.5 on it though. I've burned Black Ops, Madden 2011, Star wars the force unleashed II, The new Red Dead Zombie pack and Monopoly. They all play perfect with no flaws. Strange. This pack of Sony DL's I picked up was for testing anyway. They were like $18 for 25 over the counter at Fry's.

To check the FW log I have to crack it open again and read the fw huh?

I'm in the same boat man, I grabbed the scene release of ACB, and patched with patch on Team Xecuter's site. I then threw it in my lite-on LT+ drive to an unreadable disc error message. I can install Fable 3 and ACB to the hard drive just fine, my lite-on drive reads both games perfectly, but when trying to launch them I get an unreadable disc message.

I've burned both to verbs after running them through abgx104. That gave me unreadable disc messages.
I've patched both and burned to verbs without running them through abgx104, again unreadable disc messages.
Finally, I ran them through abgx, then patched them, burned again and...unreadable disc message.
I can play any other disc just fine. The ap25 discs don't work at all. This is occuring on my jtagged 360.
I have the latest dash, latest LT+ firmware, and I seriously doubt my jtagged 360 has been flagged because I've never been on live with it at all. I never even thew ANY discs in the drive until after I flashed LT+ either. This sucks, I think the LT+ firmware is faulty or something.

yeah this is definitely a pain! I just burned Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and I got the same thing. My 360 isn't a J tagged though. Do AP 2.5 games just not work with BenQ drives or what?

Unreadable disc issue solved! Here's what I did, I downloaded this from "the usual places": Dash Launch 2.07 for FreeBoot 12611.zip

I then burned the "media" folder, the "files" folder, "default.xex", and the "launch.ini" file to the root of a blank dvd, then ran it from the dash. I then followed the onscreen prompts and installed the latest dash patches to the flash and bam! Ap25 games played perfectly and I'm good to go!

Nice dude. I'll try it out later on when I'm home. Is your console Jtagged or not Jtagged? Mine isn't.

Ahh your's isnt jtagged? I see. Mine is, so this fix probably won't apply to you then man, I'm sorry bro. I checked out your setup and noticed you said you had a benq drive with a non-jtag system. It sounds like your system is flagged for an xbl ban, or a block for ap25 games. Is your box jtaggable? If you have the kinect dash without having jtagged your 360, then it probably isn't jtag-able. I think in that case you might have to wait until the next rls of LT+ or when SSv3 is released? I heard something like that on the team xec forums. Post there man, those guys can definitely help you out.

Damn that blows! I guess we'll see later down the line. Is msft planning on bringing down another ban hammer after the first of the year? I have the kinect dash without it being jtagged sad.gif. Damn the next release for those can be a while from now! Do you have the link?

I'm still looking, will post more when I find em.

Hmm, not sure if this would work, but you could try patching the ap25's to like wave 3 or so in abgx.

Neither of those links worked. Are you talking autofix level 3? I already did that. Plus I patched it with the AP 2.5 patch
