I have a question involving this so I thought I'd post here instead of making a new thread...

If I rip using a kreon drive, and I patch to SSv2 from files from a 0800 drive, it is now basically the same as if I had ripped it using an 0800 drive?  And it's fine as long as the xex is the same but using a different DMI CRC (should I try to match DMI or does it not matter at all)?  For example MW2 has 10 different SSv2 with different DMI CRCs.

let me say that NOTHING as of now can beat the accuracy and precision of an 0800 rip.  but you will most likely get the same/similar result if you just patch the correct DMI and corresponding SSV2 to the iso.  You should level 3 autofix this to make sure your results are consistent and verified.
