It must be something funky with my PC. I used another and it works fine.
-
Any ideas on how to fix this? I figured out that I have to eject the drive after I power it up with the tray half open. That gets rid of the little disc icon next to the mouse pointer.
Everything works great till I get to the part where it goes to unlock the game partition.
I'm using the SATA on my mother board which is an ALi chipset M5289.
I have the portio drivers disabled.
This is driving me crazy. There's got to be something simple. I mean the drive is being recognized and it reads it. It just can't open the game partition.
As I mentioned in a previous msg I know the BENQ drive works because I tried it on my friend's PC and it rips the game fine.
Any ideas guys? Thanks!

I updated my Sata drivers to the latest version I could find, v5.0.2.9

Found ODD: PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-110D 1.41 at [E] that's what I seen in the Running Log with no info about iXtreme firmware. You Need a x360 drive flashed with custom firmware from C4eva, iXtreme to make Proper backs not a PC drive and forget about the kreon drives because they lack SSv2.
Sorry I see it now Found ODD: PBDS VAD6038-64930C but no info on Firmware.

I got it working with the VIA Sata card. I had a trojan virus that was making the PC blue screen. I used superantispyware and it got rid of it. It still gives me the problem (can't unlock game partition) with the onboard sata but as long as the via card works I'm good to go.
Some programs I highly recommend:
Superantispyware - www.superantispyware.com
malwarebytes antimalware - get from www.cnet.com or do google/yahoo search
These two programs will find virus/spyware things that your standard virus programs won't find. And they are free.
