From what I've been told SSv1 is fine guys, just as long as it passes abgx360. If m$ decides to change angles in future games we'll have to worry about SSv2, but as of now SSv1 is ok.

how can i force abgx to get ssv2, it always autofixes with ssv1 sad.gif

If the retail disk only has SSv1, and you patch SSv2, they're definitely going to notice.

My retail copy of Darksiders only has SSv1, as does a scene rip AND Abgx's "verified" files. Will I patch to SSv2? Hell no, I'll run my backup with SSv1 just like the retail version. Also, after scanning alot of my retail games, I'm seeing that alot of them show up as having SSv1 as well.

You sir are an idiot, no retail disc has ssv2, SSV2 is a way of ripping the original SS. before posting advice to other users check your facts.

SSV1 is a calculated angle from known tables to achieve the end result.  SSV2 is a actual measurement and it does a really good job at it.  C4E says that around wave 3 they may have snuck in a title or two with a different unknown measurement and for safety reasons he recommends wave 3 and beyond use SSV2, He notes not to use Kreon for anything, but use only a 0800 firmware for the ssv1. prior to wave 3

In ABGX i get the following message:

Found a 369 degree SSv1 angle

Caution: This SS conatins a value (angle 359) that will cause older versions of iXtreme to return a detectable bad response! Make sure your drive is flashed with iXtreme version 1.4 or newer.

SS looks Valid!

i Know this was "Safe" on iX 1.4 and onwards but is it okay for LT?

Anyone clear this up.

Thanks

From what I can gather about this ss v2 stuff is as long as the disc has been ripped with a 0800 360 drive and has passed abgx360 wether it says ss v1 or 2 it should be fine, because my Forza 3 image has been ripped with a Benq 0800 but still shows SS v1 in abgx360.
Can anyone tell me if I am going down he right path of thinking. Cheers

inject a wrong ss file in your image with xbox backup creator.

then check your image with abgx and it inserts a new ssv2 file for you smile.gif

too bad i have to reburn all my backups now because i ripped them with a kreon drive.

Did not work for me , inserted wrong ss with mulleter then  re checked with abgx and it put in ss v1 again.

Tried about 10 times with an olderish image (nfs undercover) and nothing same ss v1 everytime. It obviously depends if there is one in the database.
EDIT..
tried Forza 3 and it worked on the first attempt, tried tiger woods 10 about 10 times and was still ss v1, so i think it is pot luck on wether the game has it in database.

It very much is luck to get the SSV2 through abgx. I ran a scene rip of Madden 10 through it about 10 times and it would change it to SSV1 everytime (original rip was SSV2 but wasn't passing verification). Then after about 10 tries it finally randomly selected #2 and boom! SSV2 was selected. It just has to be in the database and you have to get lucky and have abgx actually pick the verified SSV2 file.

According to that last post, gettings ssv2 from abgx might not be very reliable?
