Title: Some Very STUPID PIRATE Questions About Image Files And Burning
Post by: cleverdemise on October 15, 2009, 01:47:00 PM
Hello, this is my first modded console, so I don't know a whole bunch about what I'm doing.... My previous xbox 360 (unmodded) scratched up two older games that i love, and now they will not read. So, I was able to find a backup of each game on my campus, and I downloaded them. I figure this is legal because I DO own both games... so... But this is where things get confusing.
One game came with a large game file and it also came with a dvd file. I use Imgburn, btw. But I don't know what to do with them. I don't know how to use imgburn to make a playable game with these two files. Is the game file considered an ISO? If so, then what do I do with the dvd file? Also, I read something about changing the User Specified layer break setting in Imgburn. Would I do that in this case? (also, would I keep that changed EVERYTIME I burn a 360 game?)
The other game came with 70-some files. I'm not sure what to do with these either. I'm guessing I use the "create image file from files and folders" option on image burn, correct? Then what I do? Use imgburn to write the ISO file to a dldvd? Once again, do I need to change the User Specified layer break setting (in imgburn) to the setting that works with xbox360 games?
Is that all I have to do to create a playable game from the data I got? I keep reading things about XBC or something. Do I need that? Or does that have to do with ripping games?
Thankyou very much in advance, and if someone could provide any and all additional info related to what I'm doing, Id be in your dept. Thankyou.
