bump..............................
this is just an idea.....
just something i noticed has any one else got a address to work with a .wmv at the end.... here for example

mms://a1988.v03268.c326.g.vm.akamaistream.net/7/1988/326/3fb4f4a5/bmgent.download.akamai.com/326/jrecords.com/alicia_keys/video/alicia_youdidntknow_wm_300.wmv

i have that saved in a .strm file and it wont load on the xbox but works fine on my pc

any thoughts?!!?!?!  <

Most WMV codecs require DLLs to work properly, as do some of the real codecs. Check XBMC\mplayers\codecs\readme.txt  <

yes i did what the readme says...
please download the win32 codecs from one of the following urls:

http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/
http://www2.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/
http://ftp3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/
ftp://ftp1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/
ftp://ftp2.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/
ftp://ftp3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/

and install the following into this directory (and on your xbox)

atrc3260.dll
cook3260.dll
drv23260.dll
drv33260.dll
drv43260.dll
sipr3260.dll
wmadmod.dll
wmsdmod.dll
wmvdmod.dll

and i not only put all those in the codec folder but every one that came with the 7 meg zip file..... still nothing.....

so i need to place the .dll's somewhere else?

should i reinstall xbmc with the dll's already in the folder?
