might be something in the settings.

On their website it claims it plays:

- boots stealth and non-stealth backups - optional: Power Led will turn off when a Backup is detected

If it is set to boot non-stealth games, then it should boot wave 3 games too, since it should be skipping the check.

howd u patch it?  did u only use the nme associator, cause that wont work.  i think u can use abgx360 to patch it... the game wont be stealth anymore but who cares since i wont be using it on live...

so i found the patch i was thinking of... so the process im gonna try it:

1)rip HAWX
2)run it through abgx to make sure its a good rip
3)patch it with this ppf file
4)use nme associator
5)burn

hopefully this work... this patch will only work for hawx though... so i dunno how it will work with other games... we'll see... let me know if u have any success

http://rapidshare.com/files/217870350/Xbox...e.3.Patcher.rar

here are directions i found to make the wave3 game a wave2 game... this should work in theory for nme2.0

1. Start XDVDMulleter
2. View ISO Details
3. Choose a Wave 2 Game ISO to extract the (PFI) and (Video Partition)
4. Extract PFI and save it to hard disk.
5. Extract Video Partition File and save it to hard disk
6. View ISO Details with Wave 3 ISO - Select [No] When Asked to try and repair unknown Video section.
7. Select (insert video) Under the Video Tab - Select [No] When asked Auto Insert Video.
8. Insert the Wave 2 Video Partition that you saved to your hard disk.
9. Extract DMI under the stealth tab to the same place as PFI and Video Partition.
10. Reboot mulleter and choose Build/Rebuild an ISO
11. Load the Wave 3 image and click Next
12. Choose Create a cloned DVD9 ISO und click next
13. Choose Load from source ISO und click next
14. Now choose Load from files and load the (PFI), and (DMI) files you just extracted
15. Click on Make ISO and save it.
16. Under (Other) Tab Select (Make .dvd File) and Save
17. Use NME Associator
18. Burn the ISO with the DVD file .

Tried last night to make a a wave3 working, same way you described with ppf-o-matic or what its called, then with nme-associator. Looked to work at first but after installed a update when inserted disc it wanted to update one more time after reboot. Then it said "the disc in unreadable..."i dont know why...

How did you make it work? With ppf-o-matic or the other longer instructions with XDVDMulleter?

Im not trying with HAWK, i try get this worked with leisure larry, but it should be the same for all wave3-games, right?

Hope you can give me an answer, tnx (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

3)patch it with this ppf file
4)use nme associator
5)burn

yea the long set of steps can be followed for ANY wave3 game... the shorter steps are for hawx only and should be disregarded TOTALLY... good luck!

Now does this work just the same if you don't have a modchip in your xbox360.  I have mine flashed with ixtreme 1.4 I think.  It should still work though right?

yep, it should work... be advised that these backups wont pass stealth checks so they are not playable on live... also, i found agbx360 to be easier to use than xdvdmulleter... as long as you get the same files and use the same process to rebuild... it will work... good luck

Be advised that you shouldn't play those games period, on Live or not. Take out the modchip and flash your drive with ixtreme 1.51.

Well I'm on a banned console with OLD firmware - pre iXtreme, running xtreme 4.1/4.2 I believer (yeah it's old). Only reason is because I would rip games not caring about the security since it's banned. Well now we've hit the 3rd wave titles. I ripped Riddick, patched with abgxbox, boots up, says needs to update, reboots, says unable to read disc. Obv the patch had something to do with this.

Few questions:

If I update to iXtreme 1.51 is there a version that allows playing of rips without the security in place?

OR can I burn another wave 3 game, let it update, then just play patched games (I don't think this will work due to not having the updated firmware so it won't read the game).

there is talk about the system logging in what you put in the drive, PERIOD. when it reconnects to LIVE it reports it.

at least that's what I've understood.

Why all the fuss with making the wav3 iso a wave2 iso ?

Why not just run abgx360, and let it do its stuff, let it make the all the stealth files and so on, verifies and then use nme assosiator?
