Title: Where Do You Store Your Backups?
Post by: Chancer on February 11, 2009, 05:14:00 AM
Does it matter?
The whole point of using the backup is to keep the original scratch free. that way if the back up gets scratched you can throw it away and make another from your original.

It matters because I'm cheap and lazy.

I don't like spending an extra $1.50 per Verbatim DL and I don't like having to take the time to backup the disc again.

That being said, have any of you guys had any backups that stopped working for you due to scratches?

Any disk can stop working if it is scratched enough. Don't complain if you wreck your $1.50 back-up, it is better than wrecking your $70 original disk.

I keep all my backups in slim jewel CD cases. They are kinda a pain to carry around, but I think it is the best solution for me cause I just keep them on a shelf. I also make little inserts for all of them with the game art on them so I can tell which game is which easily. I used to have one of those DVD/CD binder things, but I had more than the 40 games it fit so I just bought a 100 pack of slim cases for $20.
